Sexual Health & Self-Care

Taking care of your sexual health should feel as normal as going to the gym or scheduling your annual checkup.

Prevention is self-care

We don’t wait until we’re injured to exercise, or until we’re burned out to care for our mental health. Sexual health works the same way. Small, regular habits protect your health long before anything goes wrong.

Wellness isn’t built through one big decision. It’s built through small moments of choosing yourself, again and again.

Simple habits that make a difference

  • Test regularly. Make STI and HIV testing part of your routine, not just something you do when you’re worried. When to get tested
  • Know your prevention options. Condoms, PrEP, and Doxy-PEP can each lower different risks. Explore prevention
  • Keep up with vaccines. Vaccines for HPV and hepatitis A and B are part of sexual health. Ask your provider which ones you need.
  • Talk with partners. Sharing results and boundaries builds trust. Tools like Zults can make those conversations easier.
  • Know what to do in an emergency. After a possible HIV exposure, PEP must start within 72 hours. About PEP
  • Follow through. Finish treatments, keep up with refills, and return for follow-up testing when recommended.

When to check in with us
